The Type-UG-1 is the first fully autonomous vehicle developed by [http://acfvehicles.wikia.com/wiki/Stalker_Incorporated Stalker Inc.'s] research branch. The chassis was developed as a testbed for experimental hardware which allowed the vehicle and its future iterations to function without continuous inputs of a driver or controller. It is also the first unmanned vehicle to be equipped with armament. The vehicle can be tasked with an assignment by a field operative. These tasks include scouting the area for hostile activity, patrol along a set of predetermined waypoints, escort a certain target or even detect and destroy enemy soldiers and armour. It features highly accurate obstacle avoidance programming, as well as a set of manoeuvres to avoid trapping itself in a certain area. The vehicle will provide constant feedback to its controller, such as the targets it is engaging or report on its own situation when the vehicle is stuck, damaged or out of ammo. The drone has been used occasionally in the field, but it is predicted that these autonomous vehicles will become more and more important on the battlefield, and eventually invaluable in any infantry-based operation.

The soft- and hardware package that was developed for this project was later standardized and improved over time. It became known as the 'ghost-kit' and allowed any vehicle --new or old-- to be equipped with this kit and operate autonomously. This was done frequently on tanks developed by [http://acfvehicles.wikia.com/wiki/Stalker_Incorporated Stalker Inc.'s] for training purposes.
