Development
The Type-17 is the product of a makeshift vehicle conceived on the battlefield. During deployments, soldiers required a small, fast vehicle to ferry ammunition and wounded troops between the field-headquarters and the front line. The main utilitarian vehicle, The St.Type-11, was simply too bulky and vulnerable, so they used an St.Type-15 tank, stripped from most of its armour and armament. The concept was so successful that an official version of the field-rigged prototype was adopted in Stalker Inc.'s ranks. It featured a custom chassis and a cheaper, slightly less powerful engine, but the principle was the same; A durable and agile transporter for use in combat-intensive environments.
