The St.Type-16 was designed to fulfil the role of a fast, agile and decently armoured vehicle, intended for reconnaissance and VIP transport. The Type-16 offers room for a driver and 1 passenger. It has an open top which would allow future variants to have a turret or weapon mounted on them. A cloth can be dressed over the open roof to keep the elements out. The Type-16 was used extensively until it was replaced by the St.Type-121.

- Good protection against small arms fire.
- Excellent speed and agility, despite its weight of 10 tonnes.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
- Vulnerable in close quarters combat due to open top and thin armour in the back.
