Development[edit | edit source]
The Type-12 is based on the British Universal Carrier. Unlike its WWII counterpart, the Type-12 is quite slow. It favours all-terrain characteristics and armour over speed. The vehicle is quite heavy for a recon vehicle, weighing just over 10 tonnes with 30mm of armour plating all round. It carries a 30cal machine gun in the front to counter enemy infantry.

Advantages[edit | edit source]
- Reasonably well armoured, offering good protection against small arms and even some light armour piercing weapons.
- Excellent torque and suspension, allowing it to overcome almost any obstacle with ease.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
- Poor top speed and high total weight.
